One of our main goals is to offer affordable dog training classes to the public. We offer classes for puppies and dogs of all ages; this includes Obedience, Rally Obedience, Agility, Tricks, Canine Conditioning, and Therapy Dog. We also offer advanced classes for the serious dog competitor and special seminars throughout the year.

Proof of vaccination must be provided on or before your first day of classes. You may send vaccine records to vaccinerecords@occdogtraining.org (allow at least two days for vaccine record processing) or bring paper copies to your first class.

| PRICING Most of our class bundles cost $90* for weekly, all-inclusive, one-hour sessions, over the course of six weeks. Regular Members (Household and Individual Members) will receive a significant discount after completing your 5th class. You can normally expect to pay $75 per class for your 6th class and beyond! *With the exception of some courses may cost more depending on the specialization. |
ATTENDANCE POLICY You must attend at least 4 out of the 6 classes to be eligible for class completion. Instructors will log your attendance and distribute certificates upon completion of both the attendance requirement and end of course assessment. |

| ATTIRE Wear comfortable clothing and athletic-type non-skid shoes; no sandals, flip-flops, boots or high heels. Dog training is a physical activity that requires a lot of moving around, though we can offer suggestions for those who need a different approach. If you don't have a treat bag, consider wearing loose-fitting pants with easy access pockets to store your treats; no zip-lock or plastic baggies please. |

| FEEDING & TREATS Class can be a stressful and confusing place for your dog, and high-value food is an excellent way to help them stay focused. Motivating with treats works best when your dog isn't full so if your dog is scheduled to have a meal before class, make it a small one. Your dog should be neither full nor hungry when you arrive for class. Bring several different types of soft treats broken into pea-sized bits. Treats should be something special that your dog only gets during training sessions, preferably with few or no chemicals added. Try several before the first class and see what your dog likes best. Popular choices include Wellness Core (available at Petco and PetSmart), Grizzly Salmon treats, Dried Lamb Lung, or even freeze-dried shrimp (cat treats). We do not recommend kibble, biscuits, or anything crunchy or extra chewy that will take the dog too long to consume. In general, crunchy treats (or extra-large treats) don't work well in class. We will familiarize you with the Club's reference material on treats during Orientation; and your instructor will give you some treat guidance in your first class. |
THE FINE PRINT
- No refunds will be given after the first night of class, although credit for a future class may be permitted.
- Classes are progressive, so we strongly advise attending all classes. However, we know that other priorities can interfere. Please notify your instructor if you're going to miss a class to find out what will be covered.
- Female dogs in heat are not allowed in the training building or on the agility field.
- For everyone's safety, aggressive dogs (any dog that shows inappropriate challenge, threat, or contest to another dog or human) are not recommended for class situations. Handlers should work with the Training Director to determine alternatives.
